Good to see you, old friend:), one of the initial few subscribers whose ongoing support and regular comments, early on, fed me and thus contributed to Picture to Ponder celebrating 5 years and being where it is today.

"Wolverine" is it! Could always count on you coming up with that "finite" image description.

With appreciation and love,
Sheila

Five years? Five years! Amazing. Congratulations and Happy Birthday/Anniversary to Picture to Ponder.

I saw the hobo immediately but had to ponder a bit to "see" the cat. I mostly saw its head/face in the grayish area, not on the whole stump as you outlined in the later post.

As for the other photos, once I knew that was a turtle, I knew it was on a log, no matter how odd the log might look, as I've seen that a lot at Lake Maury (turtles on logs). The duckweed is a new element though.

As for the pix of the log solo, I imagined a large, discarded ice cream cone. Though the ice cream dab that "remains" also looks like a wolverine.

Thanks so much for your acknowledgment and comments.

I, of course, don't remember exactly what I saw and I made a guess at it yesterday. I created new post, directly above, with the photo and a drawing of what I might have seen.

Continued enjoyment.

I am so thrilled to know that there is someone like myself, who likes to photograph the "out of the ordinary" things in nature, and who sees objects and faces in the photos. I could immediately see a hobo in your tree log photo, but unfortunately, not a cat. This fall while collecting leaves to press and make photo compositions, I began to appreciate the beauty of a perfectly symmetrical maple leaf with holes in it, or a brown oak leaf. My eyes were constantly on the ground while I searched for a variety of leaves.

My friend pointed out several animals in the patterns on her new granite kitchen counter. Thank you for your photos. I really enjoy them.
